Your First Visit

We’re really glad you’re here.

Whether you’re putting together a single costume or bringing an entire production to life, your first visit with us is where everything gets rolling. We want that experience to be smooth, fun and actually productive. Definitely not slowed down by missing paperwork or confusion.

So, a little preparation goes a long way. If you show up with what you need, we can focus on the good stuff. Like finding the right pieces, building the look and getting you exactly where you need to be.

Getting Started

When you come in for the first time, we’ll walk you through setting up your account, talk through what you’re looking for and maybe start pulling pieces that fit your needs.

First visits do take a bit longer than normal visits, especially if we’re building something more involved. So give yourself a little time, we promise it’s totally worth it.

If you’re able to schedule ahead, that’s even better. We spend a lot of time working one-on-one with customers, so appointments help us give you our full attention right when you walk in.

What to Bring

Everyone will need to bring a valid government issued State ID or Driver’s License. That’s how we set up your account and keep everything tied to the right person.

If you’re coming in for a business, school, or organization, bring something that shows you’re connected to that group, such as a work badge or official documentation.

And if your organization is tax-exempt, go ahead and bring that paperwork too so we can get it handled from the start.

Simply bring what proves who you are and who you’re working with and we’ll take care of the rest.

A Quick Note on Accounts

Every rental runs through an account and every account needs a real person behind it.

If you’re renting as an individual, that’s simple: you’re the account holder and responsible for your rental.

If you’re setting things up for a business, school, nonprofit, or production, we’ll need to know who’s in charge, who’s allowed to make decisions and who’s handling payment. Once that’s clear, everything else runs a whole lot smoother.

You can also add additional contacts to your account if other people need to help manage things, we just need to know who they are.

Deposits & Checkout

Most rentals require a refundable deposit, usually equal to the rental cost. As long as everything comes back in good condition, that deposit comes right back to you.

If You’re Working on a Production

This is where things get really fun and where a little planning makes a big difference.

Productions aren’t a one-visit, same-day kind of thing. There’s a process to getting everything right and the more time we have to work with you, the better the final result is going to look on stage or on screen.

When you come in, we’ll want to understand your production, such as: who’s involved, what you’re working on, your timeline and how you want to handle billing (whether the production is paying or individuals are).

And one big thing we’ll need from you:

Your Script

We do require a copy of your script. It can be digital or printed.

This helps us understand your characters, your setting, costume changes and overall style. It saves time, avoids confusion and helps us make much better decisions from the start.

The earlier we get the script, the better we can prepare for you.

Timing Matters (More Than You Think)

Some costumes can absolutely be put together the same day. Others take a little more time; especially if you’re looking for something specific or more detailed.

For productions, timing is everything.

The closer you get to dress rehearsal, the fewer options we have and the more rushed everything becomes. When you give us time, we can plan fittings, make adjustments and really dial things in so everything looks right.

If you wait until the last minute… we’ll still help, but it’s going to feel like a scramble.

A Simple Timeline to Keep in Mind

If you’re working on a production, here’s a rough guide that works really well:

About 2 – 4 weeks out, come in and get everything started. Account setup, script, planning and direction.

From there, we’ll move into fittings and pulling pieces, making adjustments as we go.

As you get closer to dress rehearsal, we’ll finalize everything so you’re ready to go without stress.

Nothing fancy, just don’t wait until the week of your show to start from zero.

Fittings & Measurements

For productions, we can help with fittings and measurements.

We’ll just need some basic info like names and contact details for your cast. If you’re working with minors, a parent or guardian’s contact info must be provided with the minors information.

The more organized your information is, the smoother this part goes.

The Big Picture

We’re here to make you look good. That’s the goal.

If you come in prepared, give us a little time and work with us through the process, we can build something that really stands out.

Your first visit is the starting point. Let’s make it a good one.
